FICTIONAL EXAMPLE

You were charged €650.
We found grounds to claim back €540.

The damage invoiced already appears on the pick-up report. This is how we connect the documents to a specific complaint.

Fictional documents and analysis to show how ReclamaHoy works. The proposed amount does not guarantee a refund.

Final invoice

FD-2026-0818 · Page 1

Rear right bumper: repair of a horizontal scratch of about 12 cm.

€480 for damage + €60 handling fee

Open full invoice →
The damage invoiced matches the damage recorded before the hire.

This match allows the charge to be disputed. We ask for the pick-up and return reports to be compared, to rule out different or later damage.

02 · THE AMOUNT

What we include in the complaint.

Breakdown of the 650 euros charged
ItemAmountConclusion
Damage€480Request a refund
Damage handling fee€60Include with the damage
Fuel€110Ask for more evidence
Total proposed€540With the current documents

To assess the €110 for fuel, the fuel level readings at pick-up and return and the breakdown of the charge are missing.

Amounts we do not include

The original hire price and pre-authorisations are not added to these charges. A pre-authorisation is a temporary hold, not a settled payment.

What if I have already received a refund?

We deduct it from the corresponding charge. For example, if €50 were refunded for this damage, the proposal would go down from €540 to €490. No refund appears in the documents of this example.

For the attention of Alquiler Demo, S.L.:

I request a review of invoice FD-2026-0818, relating to contract AD-2026-0812 and vehicle DEMO-01, under which €650 was charged after the return.

Pick-up report PR-AD-2026-0812, dated 12 August 2026, page 1, records a horizontal scratch of about 12 cm on the rear right bumper before handover. The final invoice, page 1, describes a repair in the same area and with the same characteristics for €480, plus a €60 handling fee linked to that damage.

Because of this match, I ask you to review and refund €540. If you consider that this is different or later damage, please provide the comparison of the pick-up and return reports, dated photographs and the justification for the repair and the fee.

As for the €110 for fuel, I request the fuel level readings at pick-up and return and the breakdown that justifies the charge. I am not including this amount in the €540 refund requested on the current documents.

I attach the pick-up report and the final invoice. I would be grateful for a written reply.
